Snap Lock

Snap Lock by Colorspan is a cladding system with a concealed clip profile ideal for all kinds of modern and traditional architectural facades.

The Snap Lock profile has an adjustable recessed pan with a raised seam that has a height of either 25mm or 38mm. Similar to Nail Strip in appearance, Snap Lock utilises a robust clip system that is perfect for both roofing and cladding applications.

“This profile is fast and simple to install, and it is excellent specifically for large residential or commercial projects.””

Strong Sealed Joints

As the name suggests, the male and female rib snap together, locked into each other in order to create a strong sealed joint. This is ideal for buildings exposed to severe weather conditions such as strong winds, heavy rain, coastal spray and snowfall.

While still utilising a clip system, it does not require any other specialized tools for closing ribs, unlike some other profiles. This implies that Snap Lock is quick to install and it is excellent for large scale or time reduced applications.

Profile Details

Snap Lock is an adjustable width flat panel profile with a shadow-line gap. A perfect cladding option for building structures with intricate designs.

This profile is fastened to a substrate using a concealed clip attached to the male rib. The adjacent female rib snaps tight over the male rib in order to create a strong watertight joint, suitable for both cladding and roofing applications. While some traditional profiles require special tooling, Snap Lock is quick and simple to install, which is great for time sensitive projects.

Excellent for Difficult Areas

38mm Snap Lock is suitable for a minimum roof pitch of 3 degrees, and it is the most favoured among designers due to its clean flat pan as compared to other typical roll-formed roofing profiles with their unsightly strengthening ribs.

More so, unlike typical roll-formed products, Snap Lock’s adjustable pan width is excellent when it comes to designing and cladding those difficult areas.

Installation

Panels can be installed horizontally, vertically or diagonally to create a contemporary and dynamic aesthetic.

Panel width can be customised to suit your project, thus providing you with optimum flexibility when it comes to complex designs. This also allows control of the spacing between windows and doorways so that the panel lines finish neatly along with frames or shut lines.
