Colorspan’s Interlock profile comprises a raised pan of 25mm in height. Due to its profile shape, our interlocking panel has a natural ventilated air gap behind and is suitable on most types of substrates.
Panels can be installed horizontally, vertically, or diagonally in order to create an ultramodern and streamlined aesthetic.
The Interlock system works by using concealed fasteners to secure the panel to the sub-structure and then the insertion of an adjacent panel into the fixed panel.
This system creates a strong sealed weather-tight joint, suitable for wall cladding applications.

Panel Coverage Distances is recommended to be a maximum of 300mm or below when installed onto battens.
However, it can be customised from a range of 180mm – 500mm if deemed necessary.
After applying the Thermakraft Watergate Plus Membrane on the structural wall, STUDCO Tophat Battens are then installed horizontally.
A Foot Mould is installed at the bottom section of the wall.
The Colorspan Interlock panels are then attached and secured onto the wall after the substrate is waterproofed.
A Capping is placed on top to secure the panels in place and to ensure no water leakage.

The Interlocking Panel system is different from the other profiles as it rises, creating a ventilated open area behind the
panel. The pan width and express joints can be adjusted as required. The flexibility of this system is hard to beat and
has a superior facade look.
The Interlocking Panel is mechanically fixed with appropriate fasteners to the substrate, and then the adjoining panel
is inserted to express edge. Installation is quick and straightforward, with no need for specialised tools. The other
three profiles available, Standing Seam, Nail Strip, Snap Lock are recessed flat pan designs with variations of raised
ribs and fixing methods.

No, there is no need for any specialised tools; only screw fixing is required.
How do I maintain my cladding (dependant on material)?

Usually, clean water is sufficient with a soft, bristle brush. For more stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used.
Never use solvent based cleaners. Maintaining your cladding every 6 months is recommended more often in coastal
and industrial areas.
