Interlocking Panel

Architectural Cladding

Introducing the Architectural Cladding range, with four contemporary profiles; Standing Seam, Interlock, Snap Lock & Nail Strip to choose from. They can be manufactured in an enormous range of materials and finishes, the external and internal cladding possibilities are endless for your next building development. Colorspan Industries are able to manufacture your Architectural Cladding profiles in a range of materials including Zincalume®, Colorbond®, Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Copper, Cor-ten and VM Zinc.

Interlocking Panel

Interlocking panel is an elegant and contemporary wall cladding system which utilises the tongue and groove concept to create a strong concealed interlocking joint between the cladding panels.

Colorspan Industries’ Interlocking cladding system is designed for both internal and external use and is suitable for domestic, commercial and industrial applications. The profile is a 25mm high raised flat panel with a recessed express joint that when assembled with other panels creates an embossed shadow line effect. The Colorspan Industries’ Interlocking system provides flexibility with options to control the panel width from 185mm-450mm and the width of the recessed groove ranging from 0mm to 25mm. It can also be laid vertically, horizontally or diagonally, which combined with panel/ groove width and material choice and finish, provides many design possibilities to create an aesthetically striking effect.

The Interlocking system does not require a continuous support as it can be fixed directly onto a secondary sub-structure such as metal battens or timber studs using concealed fasteners.

The battens are perpendicular to the cladding panels and provide a ventilated air gap between the main load bearing structure and the cladding surface. A waterproof membrane must be installed behind the ventilation gap for walls that are not vertical.

The strong joint of these cladding panels makes the Colorspan Industries’ Interlocking system ideal for buildings exposed to severe weather applications such as strong winds, heavy rain, coastal spray and snowfall.
